One Work Of Art Deserves Another Let the Competition Begin

The success of our inaugural Artist Series Wine Event last year has inspired us to an encore performance. So we are delighted to once again offer an exclusive, world-class Cabernet Sauvignon next spring, and to extend an invitation today to artists (and anyone with an inner artist yearning to break free) to create original artwork for the bottle. After all, a wine of such mastery requires equally masterful adornment.

Wine as Muse
There are few locations on earth more ideal for producing Cabernet Sauvignon, and few producers more acclaimed than the Atalon Winery in Napa Valley. It is here that Master Sommelier George Miliotes assisted in the blending of this world-class Cabernet. Its fruit hails from vineyards located atop the two mountain ranges that border Napa Valley. To the east, rich, red soil beneath Atalon´s Stagecoach vineyard produces flavors of black cherries with a hint of peppercorn. To the west, the volcanic ash beneath their Veeder Peak vineyard cultivates flavors of blueberries and cassis. Blended together and aged for 25 months, the result is a creamy, roundly textured red. The wine will not be named — the masterwork on the bottle and the brilliant blend within is all the identity it will require. If you need further inspiration, know that proceeds from the sale of each bottle will be donated to Share Our Strength to help in their effort to end childhood hunger in America. (The previous Artist Series Wine Event resulted in a donation of over $180,000 to this worthy charity.)

May the Best Art Win
The winning artwork will be featured on every bottle of this limited production Cabernet, to be offered only at Capital Grille in the spring of 2011. The winner will also receive a full case of this special vintage, along with an all-expenses paid excursion to Napa Valley, the birthplace of the Cabernet Sauvignon that inspired your masterpiece. Enter as many designs as you like — we look forward to seeing them all.

Contest is open to legal residents of the continental United States or District of Columbia
(excluding California where the Promotion is void), who are 21 years of age or older by October 8, 2010.
